Construction & Care
CONSTRUCTION
SILVER 925
Sterling silver 925 is a high quality material and with rhodium plating it helps protect from tarnish and add lustre.
WHITE GOLD
18ct white gold is a premium quality material that adds elegance and value to jewellery.
BASE METAL WITH PLATING
Many jewels offer a brass base with an ion plating or electro plating in rhodium, black, gold, rose gold or silver. This construction offers more flexibility in design with a unique finish and cost effectiveness.
STAINLESS STEEL
Our brands use high quality stainless steel, it is an incredibly strong and resistant material and is hypoallergenic. Many designs offer PVD or ion plating to add a coloured finish.
CERAMIC
Ceramic jewellery has a velvety satin finish with the appearance of a steely hard exterior. It adds value and a unique finish.
LEATHER
High quality leather is featured in a variety of the collections. Natural leather adds an organic and natural finish.
STONES
Many jewels feature semiprecious stones as well as Cubic Zirconias, synthetic stones, mother-of-pearl, cats eye and crystals. The Guy Laroche collection offers small natural diamonds. Natural stones can show variations in colour, inclusions, veins and streaks. These characteristics should not be considered imperfections, but intrinsic qualities of natural stones.
NATURAL PEARLS
Natural Baroque freshwater pearls add a touch of true classic elegance.
Jewellery should be treated with care, avoiding being knocked, bent and scratched and kept in the original packaging or flat in a closed box in order to protect it from damage, humidity or direct light (which may increase silver oxidisation).
Refrain from wearing your jewellery when taking a shower or bath, swimming or when playing sports. Always remove your jewellery when applying perfume, body lotions, suntan lotions, cosmetics and ointments. Do not wear your jewellery whilst using detergents, bleach, ammonia, or rubbing alcohol as these can cause discolouration.
To clean silver or gold, use a soft dry cloth. Do not use brushes that could scratch. To clean stainless steel or other metals, use warm soapy water and a soft toothbrush. For leather use a mild soap or lotion which is unscented and colorant free. For crystals and glass use a soft slightly damp cloth to keep your jewels looking their best.
Watches should be stored in their original packaging, kept clean and serviced regularly.
Please note: warranties do not cover wear and tear - watch battery replacement, worn watch straps, broken glasses. Discolouration, breakages or kinks in jewellery from wear and tear or misuse.
